Cloud9 Confirm kioShiMa Signing

Cloud9 has announced that Fabien ‘kioShiMa Fiey has officially signed for the team after a successful tryout period.

kioShiMa will replace veteran AWPer Tyler ‘Skadoodle’ Latham who stepped down from Cloud9’s active roster in October.

Head coach Soham ‘Valens’ Chowdhury spoke about the move in a statement on the team website:

Our search to find that elusive form from earlier this year has been long and grueling, but hopes are high. Fabien has already made a great impression, both as a teammate and player, and the team is ready to build on our exciting first step at Copenhagen. We are looking forward to show you a revitalized Cloud9 leading into the next major.

kioShiMa has been a free agent since Team Envy’s French roster disbanded in June. When the deal was announced, he tweeted: “What to do around Santa Monica? I’m new here need some advices.”

The Frenchman, a major winner with EnVy in 2016, will join Cloud9 at the ECS Season 6 finals in Texas on Thursday.
