ENCE Disappoint On Day One Of EPICENTER 2018

ENCE, fresh from their first international tournament win at StarSeries Season 6, have been eliminated on day one of EPICENTER 2018.

The Finnish side was drawn against the veterans of FaZe Clan in their first game of the day. ENCE performed admirably and picked up a map win on Inferno before eventually succumbing to a 2-1 defeat.

In the elimination match, they faced HellRaisers who had lost earlier to NaVi. The Finns battled bravely against HellRaisers and were able to force a third map by winning on Train. ENCE were unable to find their form on the deciding map and dropped to a 4-11 deficit at halftime. HellRaisers were able to close out the victory and secured a spot in the Quarterfinals.

After their loss, ENCE coach Slaava ‘Twista’ Räsänen tweeted “It’s unfortunate but with this form we don’t deserve a win, safe to say we can do better but can’t always shine.”

Early victors NaVi and FaZe will faceoff on Thursday with the winner receiving a bye into the semi-finals.
